The red ring of death strikes fear into gamers around the world. There are lots of experts that estimate nearly one out of three of all Xbox 360 will eventually face the red ring of death. That’s really an amazing number, don’t get too scared that’s just an estimate. You know how experts are some times they are right and sometimes they are wrong. If you do get the red ring of death the first thing that comes to mind is how to fix the Xbox 360 red ring of death.
Well, you have several different options. 1st you can just send it to the good folks at Microsoft and let them deal with the mess. But you can only do that if you still have your warranty in tact. I think the warranty last for 1 year, but some people have been saying that Microsoft will extended for 3 years. So I don’t know if it is true or not, but that what I have herd.
Anyways, if your warranty has already expired you can send it to a local repair shop, but it will be much more expensive though. Probably the best way to fix it is to do-it-yourself. You can probably have it fixed in 3-4 hours. That might sound like a long time, but it certainly beats waiting 2-3 weeks to get it back from the shop. You can find good repair guides online if you search for it.
Just don’t expect to get too much good information for free, good guides will run you about $29. One last thing, don’t listen to You-tube people Towel Trick advice. It will fry your system.
