“Superfish is an enhanced Suckerfish-style menu jQuery plugin  that takes an existing pure CSS  drop-down menu (so it degrades  gracefully without JavaScript) and adds  many features.”
I took Superfish and combined it with a  menu module to easily create and  manipulate dropdown menus. Comes with
many configuration options such as  shadows, arrows, vertical menu, horizontal menu, navbar menu, iframe for IE6 use, fade in, slide in, fade  and slide in, opacity, intelligent mouseover handling, and more.

In version 1.2 I have added my own Superfish plugin to the mix, which allows you to specify a menu width (exact or percent) and have the menu items automatically resize to fit.

Disclaimer:
If you plan on using this module, you should be comfortable editing css. It would also help to be familiar with Superfish, but not required. This module simply combines superfish with the main menu and automates the setup configuration. It is intended for developers who know their way around code. If you are a novice and need a highly customized look to the menu, this one may not be for you.
